About Our Greenwich Village Food Tour
Join us for a truly unique look at our bohemian backyard with a tour led by lifelong New Yorker Dante Mercadante! As the CEO (Chief Eating Officer) he knows all the best food in Greenwich Village and makes sure to keep you laughing the whole time.
The Greenwich Village has undergone a lot of changes through the years. Times have certainly changed for the area that was once a burial ground (seriously). For one thing, there’s been a lot of commercialization and residential buildings going up. But let’s get to why you’re here…
On our Greenwich village food tour, we make our way through the Washington Square Park and its famous arch and witness first-hand some iconic cinematic spots along the way that were captured in films such as “I Am Legend”, “Searching For Bobby Fischer”, and “August Rush” — just to name a few.
Next, we stroll into the West Village — long considered to be the most serene section in all of Manhattan. We see the longest running Off-Broadway Theatre, the narrowest house, the oldest house, and Washington Irving’s former home. Oh, and for you “Friends” fans, you can check out the outside of their famous apartment.
Okay, let’s not forget about the food in Greenwich Village! We make a minimum of six stops on this tour, so bring your appetite!
